Sessions by Kate Hughes is a brand-new makeup school which specialises in teaching young people how to improve their skill set, potentially setting them up to progress into the world of professional makeup.
Studio Lovelock were tasked with creating an eye-catching and relevant brand that shared connotations with the makeup and fashion industry but also had enough personality and spark to stand alone in its own right.
This process begun with a branding workshop with the two directors of Sessions, Kate Hughes and Zoe Birch where we broke the brand and it’s message down to key statements that we wanted to use to represent Sessions. From here we begun to work in colour, imagery, content, copy, tone of voice and the structure of the website which serves as a brochure and also a booking service.
The finished article is a vibrant and edgy brand identity and website that reflects the beauty/fashion magazine style with an added focus on detail and technique which has been drawn from the DIY/tutorial movement on YouTube and Instagram.
